Rim of the World Historical Society – Redlands Smiley Library & Lincoln Shrine Tour

We have arranged with the Redlands, A.K. Smiley Library a special tour for our group.
The history of the San Bernardino Mountains and the city of Redlands will always be linked due to the need for mountain water and lumber for the early citrus growers. On Thursday, March 24th, we are offering this opportunity to gather as a group to tour the historical A.K. Smiley Library and the Lincoln Memorial Shrine. We will meet at the library at 10:45 a.m., tour the Lincoln Memorial Shrine, then the A.K. Smiley Library established in 1894. Both are amongst the most outstanding places in the Inland Empire and well worth the drive. After the tours, we will walk two blocks into downtown Redlands for a group lunch at Martha Green’s, The Eating Room. Tickets for the tour are $10, the cost includes a donation to our host, no member discount for this tour. The cost of lunch is on your own; we will order individually off the menu.
